Biography of Director
Niloufar (Mehrshad) Abdollahi, born in December 28 1990 in the California state of United States of America. Moved back to Iran with her family to Iran as an infant, got the education in Iran as well. At the age of 19 , moved to America again and got her bachelor degree of “Film and Media Studies” the University of California,Irvine (UCI). Then later on, she made her first short film “blue Tangerines” in 2022 .
Director Statement
We make choices for the sake of living the life always looking for. The desired very simple life taken away from us by social, cultural and religious barriers. Then you think deeply to question all these rules; what if the color we called orange all the time , can be called blue from now on! How about that translation ?!
