Director Statement
I was thinking of death, during the period that I was suffering loneliness deeply and I started to read Facing Death by Bryan Magee. So, I decided to write a plot about an old man who is desperately suffering loneliness and thinking of suicide. But usually, my approach to death and other similar principles is sarcastic and ironic. I have always wished to depict the stories which are comic and sarcastic and at the same time serious and tragic; Like life itself. On the other hand, I have always kept John Lennon’s famous quote in mind. Life is what happens to you, while you are busy making other plans. In fact, my two previous movies were somehow related to this quote as well; yet in different layouts and various characters. In short, loneliness, sinking in Bryan Magee’s novel, and believing in John Lennon’s quote inspired me for writing the story of this movie. A movie I shot in two days and right after that I felt released.
